The 'star' is shown due to a priority setting in your notifications set up. It could've been 'set' by accident and isn't usually a big deal in terms of operation.

However, to remove, you'll have to change your notifications priority in your device Settings.

For the classification, navigate from the home screen of your device:

Menu --> Settings --> Sound & Notifications --> interruptions

To turn interrupt mode off quickly, you might be able to press once on the volume button and then select from

- None

- Priority

- All

Select the entry "All". Finished!

The star icon is now hidden and the interrupt mode disabled.

Select the entry "Show all notification content". Finished!

The star icon is now hidden. (Maybe not, my device is from 2017 and even this didn't help. If its a glitch then it should work on newer devices.)

Also, if you have used your Fire with a Bluetooth device with a Mute button, connect it and hit the Mute button several times. You should see the icon appear and disappear as the DND mode changes.

Found that to be the problem with mine. Had it connected to a Logitech Folio and had accidentally muted the media sounds on the kindle and had not noticed before disconnecting the kindle via Bluetooth... Thanks..
