Cause 1
Drain Pump
The drain pump pumps water out the drain hose. If the drain pump is cracked or damaged, or if the bearings are worn out, the drain pump may leak water. The drain pump is not repairable—if the pump is leaking water, replace it.
Cause 2
Tub Seal and Bearing Kit
The tub seal might be torn, causing water to leak from the seal. If the tub seal is leaking water, water may leak through the tub seal and into the tub bearings. This can cause the bearings to fail. For this reason, if the tub seal is leaking water, replace both the tub seal and the tub bearings. Be aware that this is a complicated repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

For this reason, if the tub seal is leaking water, replace both the tub seal and the tub bearings. Be aware that this is a complicated repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

2) now after few days...to retest it...the machine in take water...but after spin ..water starts leaking at the bottom of the machine ... machine drain water from the machine as normal ..when the drain nob is used.
3) Tech said the main drum has to be replaced .and even the main motor...
would like to reconfirm what the best solution with this though ?
Thanks!
@mayer - what the best you can suggest ? thanks!
most front load washers use a rubber/silicone gasket to seal the device. this is likely the culprit. some washers are able to replace this, some come preinstalled to the door, and some come mounted to the framework. i would consult with the manufacturer to find out if they have replacement parts for this.

If it is only 1 month old from new, contact the Whirlpool customer service section in your location and ask for a warranty repair. That's what warranties are for. Do not attempt to repair it yourself so as to not void the warranty.
