My attachments seem to fit sloppy

Are the attachments and mixer both new or used? Also, did the attachments come included with the mixer?

If either are used, its possible that either the attachments or the mixer are worn out around the attaching areas. You could try hooking up a brand new attachment to your mixer, or attach one of your attachments to a new mixer at a store or if you know someone who owns the same mixer. This should at help you eliminate some of the variables.

If the attachments were bought separately, make sure they are for the correct mixer model. They could be close enough to fit, but still be the wrong attachments.

Brand new, mixer is at right height too, but it won't beat eggs. My other kitchen aid had some play in the attachments but not like this one
