My dishwasher starts run smoothly i set 45mins program it works around 36mins after that spins process that time only displays a IE code ? How should I sort this

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Try cleaning intake screens there are 2 on hot and 2 on cold where the hose attaches

We just replaced the water heater and need to purge the line to the dishwasher. Is there a dishwasher function, or workaround, that will simply open the lines?

An IE error code signifies that the washing machine is filling with water slowly or not at all. This can occur when water supply taps are not fully open or the water pressure to the tap or house is too low. This time of year it can also be a partially frozen water pipe. Other possible causes are kinked, pinched or bent water line hoses, or clogged water inlet filters.

UPDATE

Cause 1

Water Inlet Valve

The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If the water inlet valve is defective, the wash may fill slowly or not fill at all. The water inlet valve requires sufficient water pressure to function properly. First, check the water pressure to determine that it is adequate. If the water pressure is adequate, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. If the washer still fills slowly, replace the water inlet valve.

Cause 2

Low Water Pressure from House Supply

The home water pressure might be too low. The water inlet valve requires at least 20 psi to function properly. Check the water pressure to the valve to determine if it is sufficient.

How can this be resolved ? I tried turning the knobs to the water inlets and they are fine. Also the water in the house is fine too, should I get somebody to check the water inlets ?

I had reached under front panel to dry up water after using wrong detergent. This fixed AE error but now have IE. Could I have jarred loose a wire or something when drying?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

This can also be caused by low water table if you have a well.

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I fixed my IE error code like this:

I pulled out the machine, tilted so i can reach under. turned water supply valve OFF, and disconnected from Water Inlet valve. Disconnected the pump in/out hoses, disconnected the Water Inlet Valve hose ( only from valve itself) Twisted the drain impeller mechanism off ( left electrical connectors)

Removed some stuck debris with tweezers.

Blew compressed air into all aforementioned areas ( hoses and cavities) for 60 seconds each.

Reconnected ( properly & securely ) all detached hoses & VOILA! no more error code, machine back in regular operation👍🏻

Hi all,

Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried all the above to no avail. But here's what worked for me- but i have no insight on why it worked or which particular action did it.

Initial error was a bE error.

- ran drain cleaner into plumbing where drainage outlet goes into. This went ok till IE error came up in next wash.

- then i disconnected water inlet. Cleaned what i could (though it looked pretty clean).

- disconnected drainage pipe from plumbing

- detached p-trap. Scrubbed and cleaned out debris. Reattached it.

- drainage outlet pipe was lifted higher than previously (previously about 5-6inches above, now about 10-11 inches), so that any regurgitation and flow back up the drainage outlet pipe had further to go before potentially causing problems.

I hope this helps others before needing to spend money

Hi @Bandopant Chincholkar,

What is the model number of the dishwasher?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

LG dishwasher has IE error code. checked water fill valve 1149 ohms. checked a brand new one 1143 ohms. removed valve used a cheater plug and hooked up to 120volts with water hose attached and water comes through no problem. replaced the sensor on the float tank on the side but no change.

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

The same here. New board, new valve, new sensor. 1E appears every time
