Forgotten passcode on my note 8
i just got the note 8 and whilst playing around with it, i locked myself out before setting up google on it. Please help.

If you forget the passcode you will have to factory reset.
Factory Reset:
Shut off device. Hold Power, Vol Up, and Bixby buttons until you see the Android Mascort with Blue Background. It will prompt you options for your device after it completes its boot.
You will lose everything. If you did input a Gmail account on the phone it will lock itself during the set up process unless you have the credentials for the phone.

i have tried that but it is not working
the phone is not shutting down
If you cannot shut it off, Hold Power and Vol Down. This is cause the phone to reset. Once you see the screen turn off, switch to the Up, Power, Bixby. Time it right and it should trigger factory settings.

Turn it off;
Tap and hold: Volume Up, Home, Power – all at the same time;
Let go of the buttons when you see the Android icon;
Select your option with the Volume Down;
After highlighting the Factory Reset use the Power button to activate it;
Use the same two buttons to select and activate the confirmation option “Yes – Delete All User Data”;
Just wait for the smartphone to reboot with a clean memory and no password left on it.
Update (12/26/2017)
Register with Samsung;
Access the Find My Mobile service;
Temporary reset the password;
Skip the lock screen with this new password;
Set up a new password once you’re in.

I have an issue I have a Samsung Note 8 on my Gmail account can't remember my password I've tried resetting many times and it's not out opening or giving me a a resolve on resetting my password on my Gmail account I've done it so many times that finally Gmail has just told me that we cannot recover your email if I can get some help with this I appreciate it I did a factory reset this is why I'm trying to get my Gmail account to reset my password I can't remember my password

If you can bring it into a Samsung certified technician they can offer you solutions. Since this is a “software issue” it would be a free diagnosis. There are possible solutions but most involve losing your data.

Hi! I had just bought a Samsung note8 off of someone. And I did the hard reset and its asking me for the gmail address. Which I don't have, I've been tryin for weeks now, an still havent been able to get ahold of the person I had bought it from. If someone could please help I'd be extremely appreciative. I had been saving for months to get this phone an I'm so upset that I'm still unable to use it.
