HP Elitebook 6930p announced in September 2008 and was one of the first generation EliteBook laptops. It was advertised as the first laptop to break the 24 hour battery life barrier.

Is there a guide I can use to replace the power socket?

I will have to remove the motherboard, I think and then get all the parts back in the right place in the right order of re-assembly.
