My headphones dont work

I bought a used iPhone 6s plus from Ebay (A1687) and the it chargers but the headphone jack dosent work, is there anything I can do without having to open it or do I have to open it?

If the earphones appear to plug in fully into the headphone jack, then the headphone jack is probably bad meaning you would need to replace the whole charging dock assembly which has the headphone jack on it.
