The laser pointer stopped working
My infrared non contact thermometer laser pointer stopped working.
What type should the replacement diode for the laser be?
Thanks

Hi @mtak12345 ,
Have you checked the power supply for the pointer?
What else have you checked?
Why do you think that the diode is the problem?

I am just guessing..as it was working 3 weeks ago.....and suddenly gone off.....
I can take the head off and check if there is any voltage there?

Hi @mtak12345 ,
What is the make and model number of the pointer?

Hi @mtak12345 ,
You misunderstood me.
I wanted to know the name and model number of your "infrared non contact thermometer laser pointer" NOT the type of diode.
You never said whether you had checked the pointer's power supply or said what type of power supply it had, i.e. whether it had removable batteries or non removable rechargeable batteries etc. I could have looked up the User Guide to find out and possibly could've helped you further
The first thing that you need to check if an electronic device doesn't work is the power supply. Without power, nothing works.
