wifi and bluetooth note turning on

My tablet is old but still doing it's job and I was quite happy with it- except for the fact that there are no software upgrades for some reason. I try to connect to Wi-Fi but the button doesn't move and it doesn't connect. The message is "Turning on...". Same issue with the Bluetooth. I saved everything on the microSIM, took it out and did a factory reset but nothing is changed. Please help.

The other features seem to work fine, battery seems to charge and stay charged as always. I did the hard and soft factory reset and there is no change. I opened the case and checked that all the cables and connectors are in place and there was no issue there. I still get the "Turning on...." message for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with a brief second try to move the button on. I asked a repair shop and they are almost sure it's the motherboard, which would be no worth changing on such an old tablet.

Seeing as you moved files on MicroSD, do you think it could be a corrupted file that causes that?

Thanks for your answer. Now that you mention it, and if I understand what corrupted files mean, I had some issues with some of the ebooks that I had saved in internal storage (PDFs, Epub, Overdrive)- I could only open the PDF's (although that happened after the Wi-Fi problem started to happen. For the other ones it said "File not supported." But if that would be the cause, shouldn't be gone when I did the reset? And if what you say is true, what can I do?
