How can you take the headphone apart, I need to get to the vol circuit

if i adjust the tuning or volume it is very erratic and sometimes only plays on one speaker. it looks like the potentiometer either needs cleaning or replacing but i do not know how to take it apart. please advise. is there an online service manual?

To dismantle the headphones, twist off the foam ear pads and remove the screws that are visible underneath.

Good luck with repairing the volume control. I have had the same problem repeatedly. The potentiometers are of poor quality and soon wear out. If it’s the one for volume you can diagnose it from the noise and crackling when you turn it. If it’s the frequency control, the tuning zooms off to one end of the frequency range and you just get noise.

Replacements are difficult to find and don’t last long. Also you can easily damage the PCB when you unsolder them.
