Removing Home ribbon cable

When I took the iPad Air apart to change the battery the home ribbon cable tore in two. I ordered a new cable now how do I get the old one off at the home button?

I looked at the ribbon cable guide. There is nothing said about how to remove the ribbon cable from the home button should be mentioned around steps 43 and 44 of the guide

The information about getting the home ribbon cable apart at the home button is not there. Needs more information between step 43 and 44.

The button is separate from the cable, on the back of the digitiser you'll see the home button bracket just use a metal spudger to break the clue holding the bracket to the digitiser, the button will now be left, your replacement cable will likely come with the bracket attached so just connect to the logic board and glue the bracket to the digitiser positioning it correctly over the home button.

The cable I received has no bracket with it.

you can remove the cable from the bracket by picking it off, its only glued on.

There is a bracket between where the old home button ribbon cable and home button switch. I would have to try to send pix of what I refer.
