The mic is working inconsistently. When the mic boom is moved the sound cuts.
So loose connection.
Problem is - I can't for the life of me find out how to open it.

Well I learned something!
And broke something along the way :P
One should NOT attempt to pry of the sides. They will come of, but you will destroy the threading of 3 screws.
What you want to do is find a flat screwdriver or similiar and press on one side of the hinge. (the front one if you keep the mic on your right.
I hope it is visible that that can be pushed out.
If you pick the wrong side (like me) you'll break the little bit it pivots over.
Should you succeed you'll have fine access to the innards.

My battery seems to have stopped working though... and I can't for the life of me find a replacement.
I also couldn't find a battery replacement for my evolve 75. In the end Jabra replaced the whole headset and now I have this partially disassembled one in case I ever find a battery.
Thank you too - my kids managed to rip off the left hand speaker. I can't see from your picture the colour of the L+ and L- cables. I have an orange and dark grey cable and need to figure out which is positive and which is negative.

Ear pad / Speaker
Both hinge pins are quite long and look like this:
They fit into holes in the ear pad / speaker assembly. I wouldn’t worry though which side you disassemble first. Though the hole approximately opposite the power switch looks easier to slip onto its pin:

Battery
Any li-po battery with a thermistor (white) lead, approximately the same maH rating and PCM should do. The XINJ LP502035 in my spare parts bin fits a bit too snugly, but works:

A further guidance on how to slip the pin - do you just push (very?) hard with a flat screwdriver against where it hinges? Any angle to apply to slip it? Pull or push up at the same time?
Have done some initial pushing but not no movement - worried to apply too much pressure in case break the hinge. lastly, if break the hinge, is it not very usable?

Yes you need to press really hard. I pushed on the side the opposite the led lights and it worked well.

@giomuc007 Yes, you can, but it will affect the length of time the battery will power the headphones. If you use a lower mAH rating, you'll decrease the playtime, and of course the opposite is also true, that using a battery with a higher mAH rating will give you longer playtime.
In general, Li-Ion batteries' capacity is determined by size, so the higher the mAH rating, the bigger the battery has to be. I'd recommend getting one of the same size as the original; that way you know it will fit and will give you the amount of play time it was designed for. If you do go larger, be aware of physical limitations of where it's got to sit.
The battery you see in @fff666's picture is a 502035, which is just the dimensions; 50mm X 20mm X 35mm, so it's fairly easy to find a replacement just by searching for "502035 lithium battery". They'll all have the same mAH rating at that size.

At least for the left ear there is an easier disassembly possible!
1) remove the side (its only connected with three clips). NO screws here (Jabra Evolve 65).
2) use a small screw driver to lift the hole over the pin (see details above) but do so by accessing the hole through the openings now accessible form the outside (see picture)
Using the approach of Christian Kjaer I also broke one pin. No way to open it that way.
I would think at least on a Jabra Evolve 65 the right ear (with mic) is also assembled without screws to hold the side lid.

Not sure what you mean by "wire pull out". With mine the hinge was broken off. Did a 3D print that replaces the black enclosure and grabs the end of the head piece (added pictures above). works pretty well. Make sure to add some play where it grabs the head piece so that the speaker still can rotate a few degrees.
Felix, I would be really grateful if you could share the 3D print models for the parts. Unfortunately the same thing happened to me, probably this hinge is Jabra's design flaw as it's very fragile. Your solution looks really awesome - you can barely notice the headset has been repaired.

Hi @verynerdy AKA Felix Hahn, thx for the 3D print model. I have the same problem with the other side of the Jabra Evolve 65 headset and on my way to disassemble the microphone/speaker unit. Right now, I see 2 obstacles: I didn't find a way to remove the plastic ring that allows access to the board below - and to remove the cable from the remaining component of the hinge, which is size-adjustable in the headband. Thanx in advance for ideas ...

I successfully opened the mic side of my Evolve 65 and re-soldered the wire which connects the non-mic side speaker to the circuit board. I used the tool in the picture below to push in the tab which connects to the pin.
See the tab in Picture #2 from Fred Fierling @fff666. I can confirm that this tab is on the "the front one if you keep the mic on your right" as Christian Kjaer @fizzyelf said. I think it would be pretty hard to break this tab by pushing it in because it has reinforcement on the backside. If you pull the earpiece as you push in the tab, it will slip off when you pushed the tab far enough.

Someone knows how the cover on the microphone comes off.
i cant see any screws when opening the ear cup, is the outer cover clipped or screwed (cover with the buttons)?

I am hoping you are still following this - so here is an update on the Evolve 75 - which is what you have on the photo.
Do NOT follow the evolve 65 instructions - I did and broke one of the tabs.
Instead on the OPPOSITE side from the one you are showing on the photo you will notice a small Torx t5 screw.
Unscrew that one, and one that side will popup. The opposite side comes off by lifting up the orange speaker holder slowly to around 30 degrees and it simply unhooks. the speaker wires are very tiny so don’t pull too hard.
the rest of the stuff is held in place with Torx t6 self tapping screws into plastic, INCLUDING the back cover. once you take those off you have access to all boards and wires. -
so that is how to open them up.
Downside - my microphone still does not work, so I suspect I may have broken links from the microswitch to the board - it has a tiny printed links on a tiny capton tape so I may simply solder the microphone directly and mute and unmute with the buttons instead of the boom
Hope this helps - bot sure when I can get some photos - But with the approach above it took me all of 5 minutes to open the boom side of the headset. the other side should be just as easy -and that side is the one with the battery. there is a youtube video on how to replace the battery on Evolve 75 -which is where i got the information on the torx t5 - credits where credit is due.

Vladmir - you are genius! Thank you very much. This worked perfectly. It is apparent that Jabra doesn't want the consumer to be able to service their products. After I got inside I pretty much gave up because the piece I wanted to replace still couldn't be reached as it was embedded in the plastic and in my opinion, not worth any more effort.
I am facing a similar issue in my Evolve 75 where the mic doesn't work if it is rotated on the frame all the way until it locks at the end. If i rotate it back a bit then some time the mic gets engaged and the voice is conveyed.
I am assuming it is due to some dry soldering or disconnection that has happened.
I am half way thru opening the right side speaker as the mic rotation housing is also on the same side.
Any picture or guidance as how to disassemble completely to address the root cause would be appreciated.

Everything I have indicates that I have this same model but mine looks different and I don’t see any pins or what is shown in any of these pictures. Here is what mine looks like. Any ideas how to take it apart? The model is HSC040W. I’m trying to post pictures but am not having much luck.

hsc040W is evolve75. I have the same -my microphone stopped working and I suspect contacts or broken wire . I am not clear how to remove the cover without breaking it. so if there is ANY more details on how to remove the toppart on the microphone side would be great, especially from somebody that may have an evolve 75

I know this is an old post, but does anyone know how to disassemble the Jabra Engage 65 base unit? One of the UBS ports appears to have com disconnected from the internal circuit board. When the cable is plugged in, there is up and down movement and it will intermittently connect (PC recognizes the unit). Fortunately, there are 2 USB ports and one still works,
I can see two screws directly behind the display section, but removing them doesn't seem to be enough. It is possible that there are concealed screws underneath.
