void on screen,white about 1 1/4" wide top to bottom.

Hi Guys, I've been using my g5 to run a big screen for a while. I set it up on my desk and found a white strip an inch and a quarter wide running down the middle I have no idea what this is. This is a 2 GHz model.

maybe the lcd screen or video card? any help would be appreciated. Thanks Stephen.

Hi Mayer I was hoping you were around. I tried that but no luck.

I think its the LCD because when I plug in another monitor everything is fine. Any other componants I should think about?

Try going under the Apple to System Preferences and hit the "detect displays" in the lower right hand corner. Also changing the resolution may help.
