I noticed ifixit does not have the instruction but they are available here http://www.portatronics.com/guide/iPod-T... does not look like an easy job but doable and will require some soldering to the logic board The jack is available in many places like this http://www.parts4ipods.com/epages/es1157... and here http://www.digiexpress.us/iPod-Touch-1G-... good luck to you and your ipod
