not able to screw the last 2 Pentalobe screws back into iPhone 6s

Hi,

I have just replaced my cracked iPhone 6s screen with a replacement i bought from Ifixit. When I try and put the last 2 Pentalobe screws back into the bottom edge of the phone ( with the correct screwdriver i got from Ifixit). The screws are not getting any tighter... and fall out easily. An suggestions?

If you look at the bottom of your screen where the screws attach there's two screw holders attached to the screen. These can sometimes get bent, misaligned or even break off completely, if they're bent or misaligned you can realign them by force, if they're off completely there's nothing short you can do of either supergluing them back or simply adding a light adhesive to the screws themselves.

Hi,

So i checked this, and the 2 screw holders were slightly bent, i have realigned and now 1 screw is in place. the other still keeps falling out. Will 1 screw do the job? i didn't put any adhesive on between new screen an the iPhone. does that matter

1 screw will keep the screen secure from any hasty motions or light damage. But I'd hazard a guess that it'd be more susceptible of damaging the remaining holder in case of a sudden drop or something like that.

This sounds like you have used the screws that go there somewhere else on the phone. This could cause damage. I would go back over the repair you made and recheck that you don't have those longer screws in the wrong holes.

These 2 screws are the correct ones. 1 is now holding in place, the other isn't. Will 1 screw be sufficient The new screen doesn't seem really tight like the old one.. is that due to lack of adhesive been applied when i put the new screen on

I don't do a lot of these phones but anytime I replace glass on a Mac, phone or iPad I throw some heat on it to help seal it well with this: Heat Gun
