Is it dangerous to not have glue under the batteries?

I removed the battery today and replaced it with a Chinese fake. Of course, the replacement battery didn't work and only showed "not charging" and with condition "failing".

So, I put back the old battery (with like 1800 cycles).

However, now the glue is basically gone. Everything seems to be working as normal, but is this dangerous?

Glue the battery down, the sides of the battery is susceptible to deformation damage. Ask Samsung what happened.
