iPhone seems to be fixing itself after water damage?

So I dropped my phone in the toilet and the service stopped working I put it in rice and after it had water marks on the screen but everything worked said searching at first for a few weeks then started to saying 'no service' and now it seems I slowly get my service back over time but not for long it always goes back to no service, it seems like it gets longer each time? Should I just leave it or get a new phone?

I accidentally dropped my iPhone 11 in a bucket of bleach water. I didn’t put it in rice or anything. The screen looked faded after, it gave the X-ray screen look. I could barely see anything… this went on for a week. So just now, I was just looking at it, and when I scrolled up, the phone completely rejuvenated itself out of nowhere. Nowhere I tell ya!!! So , I do concur that IPhones know how to repair themselves and the screen actually looks better than it did before! Like 😮

I can assure you that your iphone is not fixing itself and your situation will progressively or even instantly experience other issues.

Rice will not work. You should either take it to a repair shop that can properly take it apart, give it a good ultra sonic cleaning and an alcohol bath and address any corrosion. Also looking for any shorts or damaged components to repair/replace.

to replace your SIM is a good idea too as it could be the cause of your service issues...but to get the Logic Board cleaned would be priority 1 and stop putting power through it until then.

If you are confident you could properly disassemble, remove shields from logic board, clean and diagnose and repair it...I would agree with Daniel and prepare to replace that Iphone and do a complete backup on Itunes ASAP to save your Data while it is working.

Obviously this one depends on your financial circumstances. New phones are always wonderful. Especially if you can upgrade. However, your problem may be as simple as a damaged SIM card. Take it in to your service provider and ask if you can buy a new one for your device. SIM cards with my company are $10

Replacement Sim cards shouldn't even cost anything.
