@kye1 Sony has gotten away from supplying anyone with schematics, diagrams etc. So just by going by what you are describing, it sounds like you need to replace your LCD. Use this guide for that.

If I change the LCD would it come back???
where is the problem is it on the LCD or main board (hardware)

Lawrence Perico those should not come back if the issue is a bad LCD screen. If they still do after you change the screen, start by checking the flex and the connectors. There are no more Sony schematics, so a board repair will be extremly challenging.

The LCD got damaged and needs to be replaced. This is very common problem and easy to fix.

I have this problem too with the same phone (Sony Xperia XA) and I ran the sony test thing in the settings that comes in the phone, and it shows a problem with the light sensor... Which would make sense why the lines don't really show in a screen shot. This seems to be really common...

I have same problem. I did try different new screen but still there is line on LCD. I checked all display Connection and others but no luck. I hate Sony phones

I have this problem too. Bought the phone just 4days agk. It cost me an arm and a leg. I am really disappointed in Sony for this amateurish failure. Never experienced this even with low end phones costing less than 40 USD. Its a shame, Sony sit up!
