Weird issue with lock button after screen replacement

the digitizer and lcd work just fine and light up when i press the home button, however the screen dosent respond when i press the power button it just stays dark. if i hold the power button "slide to power off" shows up and when i hold the power and home button the ipad restarts....so i know the power button is working. ..has anyone seen this before? or know whats causing it?

i found the problem, it was a small cable by the fpc connector that had to be desoldered from the old screen and soldered into the new one.

seems like everytime i post a question on here i just end up answering it myself...
