aluminum covered chip glued to DVD below keyboard

PowerBook G4 Aluminum 15 1.5-1.67 GHz

I have a pb g4 and in tearing it down for HD replacement, I found an aluminum foil covered chip that has a cable and attaches to the MB small white connector to J3420 (MB Connector that is 1" above the upper right corner of the dvd player). looks like 3 wires in the single small cable. This is on top of the DVD player & under the keyboard. Help EMC. 2076

Yes, it is the yellow item with the green cover, on top of the dvd drive. It plugs into the logic board right above it. I just wondered what it is. thanks and if you know what it is Id appreciate knowing. thanks

that was it...& thanks. Also, Im having trouble with the dvd not being recognized. I worked once or twice & now it will not kick out the disk & it is not recognized as hardware??? whats up? thanks
