Why does my Vacuum cleaner robot die when away from the charger?

My Robot is fully charged but when I press to do anything while it's still in the charger it backs out then dies ?

@lob "while it's still in the charger it backs out then dies" sounds like a bad battery or a bad charging circuit. I'd start with a new battery. Just in case you need help to disassemble your Bot here are the instructions for it SR8855 Disassembly
