My Original DS does not turn on

Hello,

So i just got this Original DS from ebay for 1.27£ and it does not power on

What could be the problem? it came with a charger which may be the problem

Is there a way test the charger? The orange light does not come on when i insert the charger

And if it's not the charger? what could the problem be?

EDIT: There was nothing wrong with it! my suspects were true, the charger was faulty

I actually connected my DSLite's battery to it (yes i know it doesn't fit but there is a way to connect it just to test if it works or not)

With my DSLite's battery it worked fine, just needs a new charger
