@leoh , Leo, To determine if the door light switch is defective first check wires/connections for being loose/damaged/burnt, use a DVOM/multimeter to test switch for continuity. If the light switch does not have continuity, replace it. To determine if the light socket is defective first check wires/connections for being loose/damaged/burnt, use a multimeter to determine if the socket is getting power. If the socket is getting power, but the light bulb does not work, would indicate that the light socket is defective. If the light socket found to be defective, replace it. If bulb/socket/switch are all found to be good, probable board issue. See video repair links below and last link is part's, which you can click on and also see video installation of the part.
