Suggested troubleshooting procedure:
1.- Go to settings > Check your firmware version.
2.- If 4.1 or higher your flashcard could be not compatible (R4s, etc)
3.- Check with an original game
4.- If still not recognized open your DS
5.- Look for continuty in the Slot-1 pins and as well in the swtich that check if the game is inside (are the two contacts solder aside of the slot-1)
6.- If not having continuty or a bended pin your solution will be to desolder the slot-1 and replace with a new one.

Maybe they are just dirty try to blow in the slot if not blow on the game and if that doesn't work then you might want to get it looked at that happened to my friend too

Whe never I insert my game card into my dsi xl's game card slot it won't read it no matter what, I've tried blowing into the game card slot,and I've paratcly tried every thing to make it work but it won't does that mean that the game card slot is broken and needs to be repaired?
