dcaruso2002 , Craftsman Riding Mower do not take gas oil mix. Your lawn tractor will be equipped with a 4 stroke engine. Clean and fresh gasoline should be used in the fuel tank of a four-stroke engine. The gasoline should be a minimum of 87 octane, and up to 10 percent ethanol(fuel with no ethanol best).
As far as motor oil a quality 10W30 will normally suffice, always best to check your manual. For 4 stroke small engine oil pours straight into crank case through fill tube, to full mark on dipstick(do not over fill). Links below have more info. if needed.
Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

If there is an oil fill/check location then regular gas. SAE30 for the oil. normally there is a drain pipe so won't just go all over chassis when changing. I think 30-50 hours should change oil (most people do at the start of a season).

I used multi-weight in my rider once and it didn't splash well on piston and through a rod found out the hard way to only use SAE30!
Should you use 85 gas In you lawn mower?
