My main camera is shaking and making a noise

Hey, guys.

My iPhone 6 Plus has less then 5 months of use and the main camera is shaking (like, physically shaking) and making a weird noise when I turn on any app that uses it.

I've never droped it and it never had contact with water.

I'm based in Brazil and I just took it to an authorized store (not an apple store, we don't have that here) and I was told there was some rust inside of it and, because of that, the ensurance doesn't cover it. I tried to look for the water damaged stickers and as far as I understood, they're not red like the ones that trully had contact with water.

can anyone help me with that?

So do i, i think we have the same problem but front camera is working still. it's been a while

Have you found why this was happening? I think I have the same issue on an iPhone 12.

Yes so I have broken glass on camera and any time I open anything with back camera it has a gear ticking/rattling noise and I can see the cause of the noise is shaking my actual camera with phone still so won’t focus I have a XR please can we find results. I did notice shaking a little or pushing on it bc all cameras have a auto focus gear behind the lens that it locks in to I am thinking they are slightly coming out spec by spec can we get @apple in here please lol or some type of @TechSupport #apple #CustomerService like we need answers from a professional

If you put a small magnet just below the lens it will stop shaking. You need to have a case on it so the magnet stays on but it works

I just used one of those tiny round super-strong magnets, but it will be hard to keep in place. It stays attached to the rim of the main lens, but obviously could easily fall off. The problem itself is very common: buzzing when the camera is on. It's caused by a fault in OIC (not sure what that is, but it's something to do with autofocus I think).

hi ! is your problem happening when you try to open your camera?

when i try to open the camera for some seconds it makes a weird noise like electricity is passing inside the phone & then it opens and when it opens all the photos are blurry

luifmendes , Stop charging or powering up your device until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the phone. If you are sure warranty is not valid, You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the phone from the water damage as that could be your problem. A tear down link for your device Link #1, disassembly guide will enable you to get inside the phone to remove the damage/corrosion caused by the liquid. Use the 2nd link as a guide/instruction on how to clean/repair the device from liquid damage. If camera continues to give problem try a factory reset and if still issue replace camera. Good luck.

Hey, I have fixed some of those. often there is small metal parts on the outside of the camera.

open it up and remove the camera and check for metal parts around it.

If you dont go to apple and get them to fix it then because you still haven warranty.

Where are these small parts? Behind the camera? In the lens?

On sides of the camera, it's magnetic so small metal parts can get stuck and then make it shake.

Also some 6plus apple replace the rear camera for free because it was some manufacture problem

This is a common issue and was recalled and they fixed it for up to a certain time. They won't fix it anymore. It's an easy fix. The problem is that gyro on the camera is bad. Just replace the camera and it should work fine. If you do the repair yourself just make sure to unhook the battery before you do any work. You will also need to unhook the cables for the screen to get to the camera. The connectors pop back together like legos make sure they are connected tight. Make sure you mark which screw you take out and the spot it came out of. There are different lengths of screws and if you put the wrong screw in the wrong hole it can damage the motherboard and be extremely expensive to repair it it can be repaired at all. You will need a a screwdriver set for apple including a pentalobe screwdriver. You should be able to buy the part and the tools for around 25 to 30 dollars. Watch the repair videos, it's not that hard to do. I taught myself to repair iPhones after having a stroke a year and eight months ago, I was a mechanic before so I just switched to smaller items. I even have a weak right hand and I can Still do it. So give give it a try.

Hi, basically your problem is that the focusing part in your camera has broken. This has happened to me before and the only way to fix it is to buy a new rear camera. Easy to fit in and replace
