@bobj2008,Joshua, Google how to factory reset your device as this can sometimes fix charging issues. Reset did not work, either the cable or charge port may be damaged. Look in the charge port with a flashlight and blow/pick out(carefully) any dust/debri that may be causing an issue and check for bent pins and straighten carefully with a tooth pick. Try a different compatible charger/cord to see if that is the issue. If different compatible charger/cord does not fix, it is probably a damaged/loose port that will have to be repaired/replaced. If port looks/test good the battery or connection is probably bad. If port is found to be bad, this is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is usually soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful. I will post a link to a tear down guides to get you inside the tablet to check the charge port, pick your device from the list on 1st link, then select one of the guides, like screen replacement which will show how to disassemble device to access charge port. Will also post a link showing what is involved in repairing a mini USB attached to the board may not be your exact model. You can do a web search for a replacement charge port for your device using (make, model#, charge port). If not wanting to do the repair yourself have a good computer/cell phone repair shop have a look and estimate repair. Good luck.
I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

A faulty charging port is one of the most common smartphone issues. If your phone is charging slowly, charging only at a certain angle, or not charging at all, the problem may be caused by dust, lint, a damaged charging cable, or a worn-out charging port.
DIY Steps to Try
Inspect the charging port for dust or debris.
Gently clean the port using a soft brush or a wooden toothpick. Avoid using metal objects.
Try a different original charger and USB cable.
Restart your phone and check if charging resumes.
Test the charger with another compatible device to rule out charger issues.
If the problem continues after these steps, the charging port may require professional repair or replacement. Visiting an motorola authorized service center ensures proper diagnosis, genuine spare parts, and reliable repairs, helping restore safe and efficient charging performance.
