@louwho , Cindy, To position drip tray, one side of the base has a slot provided for the driptray. Slide the drip tray into the base according to the instruction on the tray. I notices on one model of grille I had, I had to raise the front up a bit(sat the front feet on a couple metal bottle caps) so it had more tilt to the back for it to run the grease off correctly. Below is a link to your manual. Good luck.
I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

If the unit is tipped at all the grease will pool on the lower corner of the grill. Try to level the grill.
If there are crumbs or bits of cooked food, it will block the flow to the grease cup. Use a spatula or fork and gently scrape the instructions to another part of the grill.
If you put the grease cup in backwards, it doesn't work as well.
If you are doing everything right, you might be dealing with a lot of grease. I use a jelly roll pan under my griddle. A cookie sheet with sides that can catch any overflow.
Fat goes into the bottom of the griddler under the plates. I tried cleaning them with a soft cloth and Dawn but that didn’t work. Any suggestions please?

My griddle is collecting grease under the plates. How do I clean this? I did not have this problem when I had an inexpensive Foreman grill.
