I have iPod Touch 3rd 32GB and need to replace Digitizer. On my old digitizer there is part number 821-0856-a. I have bought a new digitizer, but its part number is 821-0908-01. Is this new digitizer compatible with my touch?

As long as the digitizer flex cable fits onto the logic board. Don't force it.... Many times parts come from different factories in China and they all label them differently. Good Luck.
