LCD screen damaged and shows white with black blob

The screen is all white and there is a large black blob on the right side with cracks stretching to the left side. The cracks are red, green and blue and are on the inside as there are no visible cracks on the outside. I took good care of this tablet but it was dropped a few times but it did not cause any damage as it had a case. I was out for a few hours and i left it sitting on a table in the sun, could that have damaged it?

Jack Lindop "large black blob on the right side with cracks stretching" without seeing it and just going by your description, it sure sounds like a cracked LCD. In order to fix your tablet, you will have to replace it. This video and these guides should help you getting it done.
