Not working. Barely displays

Found a Texas Instruments BA-35 Solar Financial Calculator in my house. All it displays is a 0 and in lower left corner FIN (for financial mode.)

It will not do anything. Pressing the AC/ON button will blink the two items displayed. Nothing else works.

Have left in light over an hour? Then left it in sunlight all day. No change.

Is there a reset or???

Any help?

Hi,

Just verifying that you left it in "sunlight" and not just an electric light of some kind?

Hi, Perhaps the solar panel is faulty. You may have to open up the calculator and see if you can find the output leads coming from the solar panel and measure the voltage using a Voltmeter. If the Voltage seems right, (don't know what it is but perhaps it is around 1.0 -1.5V DC) then there is a problem further into the circuit.
