i have the bluetooth off,the itouch is not on mute. ive went through the common sense list and im convinced its screwed. WHEN I TURN MY VOLUME UP it says headphones but i dont have headphones plugged in. ive plugged some in took them out. ect. nothin

have a look in the jack and clean out any dust and lint which may have built up, it may be tricking the ipod into thinking headphones are in-hence no sound!
