850Evo M.2 is a 2280 where my laptop motherboard has a slot for a 2260

Hello all

I have an Asus UX31L, it comes with a SSD x110 sands sd6sp1m-128g-1002 which is failing on me. I decided to upgrade and followed the tips on https://jure.tuta.si/?p=40 and ordered myself a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD.

However, these tips were for a UX31A. I opened my laptop to find that the 850 EVO M.2 is MUCH larger then the stock SSD x110 SanDisk sd6sp1m-128g-1002. As I do more research, it seems as though the 850 EVO M.2 is a 2280 where my laptop motherboard has a slot for a 2260 (i think).

Any advice on how I can make this work?

unfortunately the 2260 is smaller then the 2280 so it will be impossible for the 2280 to fit ... do you maybe have a pic of the mobo ?
