Why is my Wi-Fi not working?

I turn on my Wi-Fi but nothing comes up on the screen like it stuff appears when I switch on my Bluetooth except the blue signal indicating that I switched it on.

Once I leave that page(where I switch my WiFi on/off) and return back to the page, the Wi-Fi button is indicating that its off.

The Bluetooth works.
