worn out iPhone screen?

ok, so i had my iphone and i used the &&!* out of it then it wouldnt work then i finally got it to wok and then the cable to my lcd broke and then i got a very very good replacement lcd and and it turned whit, so i used my dad's iphone screen and it was working fine then boom! white screen! and i put it back on his iphone and it was working perfectly fine and i think it may be time for a new device? please help!

White screens on the iPhone are usually caused by a problem with the LCD connector on the logic board. They are fragile and aren't meant to be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly; it sounds you've put a lot of stress on it.

You could try to put some pressure on the connector while turning the phone on, which might fix it temporarily, but ultimately you'll need to get a new logic board.

there are also many online companies offering repairs to lcd connection, far cheaper than replacing logic board. google iphone 3g repair and go from there.
