grantkapteyn my esteemed colleague @lpfaff1 is absolutely right . This answer is just for completion sake, kind off like an addendum. The AF sensor is mounted to the bottom of the "Mirror box. It is connected via a flex and held in place by three screws. The ifixit guide will definitely get you there. Part number for that is 1H998-171
