R button is held down permanently

R button is held down permanently

Hey,

So the main problem with the psp is that the R button is held down permanently. Not physically as the button can be pressed and it releases but when I switch off the console and switch it back on the configuration settings pop up which happens when you hold down the R button at the booting screen. Any advice?
