Why my tab wont accept password after connection to mac?

Hi, i'll just put it right from the start that I a sure that it is not the password problem (I don't have kids, and I am the only person using the tablet). With that being said..

The tablet accepted my password just fine, then several things happened:

1. I installed Google keyboard

2. I connected my tablet to my Mac running MacOS 10.11.5 and with Android file transfer transferred some files to the tablet.

3. I attached my tablet to original case (maybe it's relevant, maybe it's not but I am putting all of it here)

Since now my tablet screen lights up just by uncovering the flap of the case I decided to disable any other screen unlocking methods (I had fingerprint and password enabled). This is where I discovered that my tab will no longer accept my password.

I have tried to reboot the device, and switch back to Samsung keyboard, to no avail.

Please help!

P.S. Ironically I am trying to transfer from Apple ecosystem, but looks like Android world doesn't want me =))

Can you do the google account password recovery by clicking forgot password after 5 incorrect attempts?

No, there was no such option.

Latest news are, that when I connected the Tab back to the Mac it, after all, accepted my password. I have no explanation for the fix. Maybe it will be useful to someone with similar issues: I used Android file transfer utility version 1.0.50.2266, after connection of the tab it said "unable to access the tab, please unlock the device", I entered the same pass on the Tab that failed before and it worked this time.

Fixed.
