Dead area on my screen

I have a dead spot on my ipad, along the length of the screen about a half inch from the edge. Top only. How do I energize this dead spot?

The dead spot came out of the blue, the ipad did get dropped and cracked the screen. Even though the screen was cracked everything works fine

The cracked screen was replaced, I double checked the connections and they were nice and tight also pushed in as far as they could go in. The new screen works fine except for the dead spot.

Is it possible that the new screen might be defective? Is there other procedures I need to try?

Carl

I rechecked connections 4 times and very confident that connections are secure and tight. Like I said, before the dead spot showed up with the new digi. The cracked digi that was replaced was functioning properly.

Hi,

It's either a faulty part, or you have crimped the digitiser cable causing it to have a dead zone, I would highly recommend getting a replacement part. :-)
