How to upgrade the M.2 SSD

Dear ifixit team,

I have an HP Spectre X2 Detacheable 12 inch tablet. However, the unit comes with a 128GB M.2 2280 ssd. Does anybody know on how to open the unit in order to replace this ssd with a larger capacity? Thank you so much for your answers. Regards Surfix007

Here is the "end of life" recycling guide that shows some basics on how to take the spectre x2 apart. Would be a good place to start on a project like replacing the SSD.

I think you need to follow this guide: http://h22235.www2.hp.com/hpinfo/globalc... . If so then I won't touch it as it is glued together.

If, however, you have found a solution please let me know as I would also be interested to know

you can open the machine without removing the screen from the bezel.. use a spudger between the black plastic bezel and metal frame. It will pop off easily, and reinstall with no glue. I take mine apart for fun. the drive is a standard m.2 sata ssd
