The iron was purchased in early to middle of 2015. It was purchased from a white-goods store in Queensland Australia. The iron had an auto-off function .

Hi, So there are no markings at all on the iron, not on the base etc giving any kind of info?
Really way out thought. Do you still have the purchase receipt or any other documentation regarding the purchase which may help to identify it? Even if you find the store's name on a financial statement, you could ring them and ask what brands they sell (or sold last year).
