Can I put a logic board from a G3 12" 800 in a G3 14" 800?

I have a G3 14" 800 with a logic board that got fried around the power supply area. I also have a G3 12" 800 with a good logic board. Can I use the 12" board in the 14" case, or is there a problem with the battery connectors?

Also will it drive a 14" screen, or will it only use 12 size area?

You can! It's got the exact same form factor (the 14" uses a battery cable extension to get around the case size), and it will drive a 14" screen just fine (same resolution, bigger screen).

As far as I am aware, other than the difficulty of lining up the ports and battery connector, it's possible.

Someone who knows how to handle a solder iron could take off the battery connector from the 12" board and fix it to the 14" logic board.
