What do I do if my screen just randomly went black

my ASUS RCA tablet was working fine yesterday & then the screen went black all of a sudden & won't turn back on. i have SO many documents on my tablet from the last 2 years that i need in court in a few weeks & need my tablet fixed somehow! anyone else have this problem and wanna give me tips on how to fix it??
