My screen is displaying dead pixels, what to do?

Today I was watching a video and noticed that some of the pixels are dead on my screen. I've had this laptop for a while now and it's just started happening recently. Is it possible to repair my screen, or does it need replacement?

Your screen may be damaged and need replacement. Unfortunately, the individual pixels on the screen cannot be fixed, so you might replace the entire LCD screen. Check out the troubleshooting page to diagnose any symptoms or the screen replacement guide to replace the screen.
