How to get Laptop to lay 180 deg. instead of ~140 deg.?

I would like to get my laptop to sit 180 deg relative to table surface as opposed to the standard ~90 to 140 deg. I am sure this is just a manner of loosening the side screws, but I do not want to destroy or damage the device so I would like specific instructions/tool recommendations before I proceed. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but if I'm understanding you correctly, could you just prop up one side of your laptop by putting an object underneath half of it, so that the laptop rests at whatever angle you like?

If you're referring to the angle of the screen on your laptop relative to the body of the laptop, I've also always solved this problem by just propping up my laptop with something, rather than trying to loosen the hinges on the display to let it have a wider swing angle.
