Reconnecting the keyboard ribbon
I know someone asked this question but the answer really wasn't a huge help. Wont power on and I know its because of this. How the heck do you get the ribbon all the way in?!

Answered my own question within 5 minutes. install the bracket behind the cable and between the midwall. Then use a small piece of scotch tape to pull the ribron cable into place!

I would use Kapton tape and leave it in place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapton
Definitely recommend anyone who does this as a hobby or finds themselves opening up electronics on a regular basis pick up some kapton tape. But when in a pinch scotch works charms.
You just saved me hours of fiddling - such a brilliant idea!
Genius! Worked like a charm. Thank you so much!

Just remove the midwall, the ribbon wraps up and just push it in. but the scotch tape pull is a great idea, nice thinking outside the box.

dude, you saved my life with scotch idea... it took me 10 mins to put the logic board back and I fiddled with the stupid keyboard ribbon for a good 30 mins until I found your post... you deserve a sixpack :)
Glad I could help, since I though of this I have used it probably hundreds of times. Really happy on the newer models they added a tab.
