Rames, Info. found at Insightcentral. Older insights 00-04, code P1448 may set if the batteries inlet duct or exhaust duct get blocked. If not blocked check the battery fan. If the fan works, the battery may be at fault and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck.

@ramesh77 you correctly found that P1448 is a Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) Module Fan Problem. Follow the manuals troubleshooting flowchart to determine where the error originates from and repair as required.

Is there a similar troubleshooting process for a 2011 civic hybrid ? I get a P1448 code and the fan runs full blast for a few seconds after shutdown. I dont see how it would be a fan problem since it works. I did the steps for verifying the voltage at the fan connector. Where do i go next?
