HP laptop overheats and shuts down.
My HP G72 laptop overheats and turns itself off. What are the possible causes? I have taken it apart and cleaned it completely inside. Very small amount of dirt and the fan is working.

Blow some compressed air into the fan duct, you"ll be suprised how much dust comes out. it worked for me :).

Hi Thank you everyone for commenting. I do not have the laptop any more. It would tun on like it normally should and everything would work perfectly for a while, but after some time whether I used it or it sat idle it would just shut down for no reason what so ever. When I took it apart the fan worked fine and was clean because I would blow compressed air into all the open vents and the fan area every month or so. Also I always used the laptop on a hard surface. Thanks again.
