Stops with an SD message

Your code Sd is most likely related to 'slow drain', which can be the pump in the machine or the drain behind it. Check to be sure the drain is clearing quickly enough and if so, have the pump on the washer checked or remove from washer and clean it out. In the meantime, if you hit cancel and let it sit a bit then hit start, it should take right off and finish the cycle. Hope this helps!

My washer also produced SD and OL codes at random; Maytag MVWB300WQ Bravos. The SD (F71) is condition is determined by the main motor control that is detecting a strong load (resistance) during agitation. My machine did have some wear in the lower hub gear spline (the lower gear that sits on the shaft) but the root problem was that the basket didn't float freely during agitation such that the motor is trying to rotate the washplate and the basket together. The basket needs to float about 1 inch to fully release the basket hub during agitation. So I pulled the basket (using the jack and board method) and found the shaft corrosion that limited the basket float range.) Also I found some hard debris below the drain screen that was interfering with the discharge port. I think it's best to advise a basket removal to see if there any abnormal limit to the float range. The basket might also get stuck on the corroded shaft during it's high lift thus stressing the lower gear that is not fully engaged for the spin phase. Once you're there check the tub sump below the drain screen for debris.
