How do I get my tablet to reboot regularly?

When I went to shut down my tablet, it asked if I wanted to restart in safe mode due to some app problem. I did, and I uninstalled the problem app, but when my tablet starts up, my screen has the default wallpaper on it, but I seem to be able to do everything. How can I check to see nif its still in safe mode? I've shut it down and restarted 5 times already. It still has the default wallpaper.
